Sodium bicarbonate is a seafood additive
Appearance: White powder, completely soluble in water.
Uses
– Sodium bicar food is used as an ingredient in baking powder in food production.
– Sodium bicarbonate plays an important role in many other manufacturing industries such as in the production of salt and sparkling beverages.
– Water treatment, increase alkalinity in shrimp pond water.
– When the rainy season comes, a lot of rain makes the pH in the pond decline, Bicar food helps to stabilize the pH in the pond water.
– Along with other minerals, Sodium bicarbonate NaHCO3 enhances electrolytes, adds minerals to help shrimp harden shells.
– Wastewater treatment.
Chemical Sodium Bicarbonate
Dosage in seafood
– To increase alkalinity: 15kg/1000m3 (using 10-15kg/1000m3 can increase alkalinity to 10mg/L
– Alkaline stability in water: 5kg/1000m3 used 5-7 days/time.
– Use in the evening to increase efficiency, so apply with lime (CaCO3) or Dolomite in the evening.
Some notes when using NaHCO3 in shrimp ponds
– Should be handled in the cool weather or in the evening, divided and beaten many times 1-3 hours apart so that the shrimp will not be shocked when using a lot of alkali.
– Should be combined with lime or Dolomite to increase the efficiency of alkalinity in the pond.
– Treatment dosage can be increased or decreased depending on the alkalinity in the pond.
– If it rains a lot, besides increasing the alkalinity, it also increases the salinity of the water.
– Use 10-15kg/1000m3 to increase to 10mg/L.
Preservation measures
